Position Summary

Swingtech Consulting is seeking a Deputy Federal Program Manager to support the management and administration of a large federal professional services program. The selected candidate will assist with daily program operations, workforce supervision, performance monitoring, cost and schedule tracking, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.

The Deputy Federal Program Manager will act as the Program Manager during the Program Manager’s absence and must be capable of maintaining uninterrupted program leadership and customer support.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Program Manager in managing daily contract operations and contractor personnel.
  • Act as the Program Manager during the Program Manager’s absence.
  • Ensure contractor personnel adhere to applicable standards of conduct and internal controls.
  • Track program costs, schedules, resources, staffing, and performance.
  • Assist with staff supervision, workload allocation, and performance management.
  • Identify operational problems and coordinate timely resolution with minimal disruption.
  • Monitor program risks, issues, action items, and corrective actions.
  • Support customer communications, reports, briefings, and deliverables.
  • Assist with recruiting, onboarding, retention, and replacement of contractor personnel.
  • Lead and support continuous service-delivery improvements.
  • Help ensure all program activities meet or exceed contractual requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting or managing:
    • Contractor personnel
    • Contract operations
    • Internal controls
    • Cost and schedule tracking
    • Program performance
    • Operational problem resolution
  • Master’s degree in a related field or 12 years of experience.
  • Current Project Management Professional certification.
  • Ability to act as the Program Manager and maintain program continuity when required.
