We are seeking a talented and motivated Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and supporting our systems infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our systems and networks are efficient, secure, and scalable to meet current and future business needs.

Must be able to travel onsite to Costa Mesa, CA.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain the company's systems infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization platforms, and networking components.
  • Monitor system performance and reliability, and troubleshoot issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with software developers, network engineers, and other IT staff to ensure smooth integration of applications and services.
  • Implement security best practices and protocols to safeguard company data and systems.
  • Evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Perform regular system backups and ensure data integrity.
  • Document system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT professionals.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in technology.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role in IT.
  • Strong knowledge of system and network administration, including Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.) and security principles.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, CCNA, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator) are a plus.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism while working with clients. This includes clear and timely communication, punctuality, and the ability to effectively manage client expectations. The engineer is expected to present themselves as a trusted advisor, offering expert guidance, maintaining a client-first mindset, and upholding the company's values in all interactions.
  • Required to strict confidentiality protocols and ensure the privacy of all client data. This includes implementing security best practices, safeguarding sensitive information, and complying with all relevant data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). Any access to or use of client data must be authorized and handled with the utmost discretion to protect client interests.
  • Required to complete daily timesheets on Big Time.

  • Frequent/continuous sitting with occasional, intermittent standing/walking.
  • Continuous use of bilateral upper extremities in fine motor activities requiring fingering, grasping, and forward reaching between waist and chest level.
  • Occasional/intermittent reaching at or above shoulder level.
  • Frequent/Occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing/pulling.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying objects/equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Continuous use of near vision, hearing and verbal communication skills in handling telephone calls, interacting with customers and co-workers and performing job duties.
