Position Summary

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will drive cross-functional initiatives in product development and large-scale manufacturing projects. This role requires a creative problem-solver with demonstrable experience in time management, organizing tasks for a common goal, and ensuring deliverables by a deadline in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: 

1. Collaborate cross-functionally to manage metal manufacturing projects from sample development through full production.
2. Provide regular project status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
3. Advise clients on manufacturing best practices, including methods, materials, 
   and finishing options.
4. Communicate technical information, deviations, and factory requests to the sales team for client follow-up.
5. Partner with Quality Engineer on non-conforming parts and corrective action documentation.
6. Review new projects for technical feasibility and manufacturing readiness.
7. Work with Quality Engineer and Supplier Quality Engineer on in-process and 
   incoming inspections.
8. Collaborate with Quality and Supplier Quality Engineer on vendor quality performance 
   and management.
9. Escalate at-risk projects and engage COO/CEO as needed for support and resolution.
10. Ensure customer prints are complete and accurate, including tolerances, specifications, revisions, and material callouts.
11. Identify prints requiring client revisions or formal sign-off.
12. Review vendor inspection reports in collaboration with Quality Engineer for accuracy 
    and completeness.
13. Oversee day-to-day vendor management and performance.
14. Partner with the Sourcing team on vendor selection, ensuring capabilities align with 
    RFQ requirements.
15. Review vendor RFQs for technical accuracy.
16. Participate in factory tours and vendor audits with the Sourcing team.
17. Perform project kickoff meetings with clients and vendors. Circulate appropriate kickoff forms.
18. Review vendor quotes for technical accuracy and respond to technical questions during the quoting process.
19. Perform additional duties as assigned by the CEO and COO.

 Minimum Qualifications

• College Degree in mechanical engineering and project management required
• Proven experience managing multiple complex projects in a dynamic environment
• Expert in project management software
• Availability Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm eastern standard time
• Ability to reliably commute to company headquarters
• Excellent writing, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
• Fluent in English
• Authorization to work in the United States (the Company is unable to sponsor work visas)
