The Assistant Clinical Director (BCBA) provides clinical leadership and operational oversight across all service lines, with primary responsibility for ABA programming and interdisciplinary coordination with Speech Therapy, Diagnostic Services, Community and Residential Programs. This role ensures clinical excellence, ethical practice, and data-driven decision-making while supporting the Clinical Director in advancing quality, outcomes, and organizational growth.


Clinical Oversight & Program Leadership

● Provide day-to-day clinical oversight of ABA, Speech, Diagnostic, and Residential services to ensure alignment with organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.

● Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of individualized treatment and service plans across disciplines.

● Collaborate with discipline leads (BCBAs, SLPs, diagnosticians, residential RBTs) to ensure coordinated, integrated care.

● Review clinical documentation for quality, compliance, and medical necessity

● Assist with onboarding, training, and ongoing clinical mentorship of supervisory staff. Promote effective collaboration across service lines to support continuity of care.

Community and Residential Leadership

• Conducting functional behavior assessments (FBAs) to determine the purpose of challenging behaviors.

• Designing and overseeing the implementation of individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) by behavior technicians, registered behavior technicians, school support staff, teachers, or direct support staff.

• Creating and modifying skill acquisition programs (e.g., communication, social, daily living skills) tailored to the specific community environment (school, residential home, home).

Quality Assurance & Compliance

● Support compliance with BACB, ASHA, state licensing, payer, and accreditation standards.

● Assist with audits, corrective action plans, and continuous quality improvement efforts.

● Ensure ethical and professional standards are upheld across all clinical services.
