Production Supervisor (Evening Shift)

About the Team

We’re currently seeking a Production Supervisor for our evening shift, working out of our Port Orchard, WA manufacturing facility. The Operations Team, including the Plant Manager, Production Manager, and manufacturing teams, work together to schedule, produce, and ship all products to fulfill customer orders.

 

About the Role

The Production Supervisor, under the direction of the Plant Manager, will assist with plant operations for production and manufacturing, overseeing production teams and resources to meet scheduling goals while driving improvements in safety, quality, and efficiency.


What You Will Do

  • Oversee team leads, team members, and other resources in achieving the production schedule while improving Safety, Quality, and Efficiency
  • Supervise and motivate a manufacturing team to create a culture of personal responsibility, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Plan, schedule, coordinate and/or monitor the flow of products through the complete production cycle
  • Execute production schedules in coordination with the Production Planning Manager
  • Review upcoming materials requirements to ensure no interruption in the schedule
  • Provide direction leadership, and training to accomplish the company’s goals and objectives
  • Stay up to date with the latest production management best practices and concepts
  • Initiate and facilitate problem solving groups to resolve issues in order to meet the current and future needs of the company
  • Achieve quality and productivity metrics
  • Prepare and maintain production reports
  • Meet monthly revenue targets as set by Management
  • Work cross-functionally with department leaders to align processes, improve workflows, and drive operational excellence
  • Support Lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement efforts

 

What You Will Need

  • Proven track record of success as a Production Supervisor in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, setting production priorities on a daily basis
  • Experience working with other operations teams to achieve build targets
  • Knowledge of inventory management and production scheduling principles
  • Tenacious and detail-oriented focus on executing according to plan
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, like NetSuite
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Enjoy being part of a team, but also feel comfortable working on your own and taking initiative

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on tenure, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

 

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must have the ability to stand or walk for extended periods, life and carry objects (up to 50lbs), and perform repetitive tasks. Other physical demands may include reaching, bending, stooping, and working in various environmental conditions like temperature variations, dust or noise levels. The employee will also be required to use a computer.
