Geary Veterinary Hospital is a well-established, community-focused practice in Walnut Creek, CA, founded in 1979 and dedicated to providing personalized, compassionate care for pets and their families. Our collaborative team offers a wide range of veterinary services, from routine wellness visits to surgery and advanced medical care, in a fast-paced environment where there is always an opportunity to learn and grow. We are looking for a dedicated Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team!

Schedule

• Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care and support veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and medical procedures
• Perform anesthesia monitoring, including patient assessment, anesthetic monitoring, and perioperative care
• Place IV catheters, administer injections and medications, and perform other licensed technical procedures
• Assist with surgical procedures, including patient preparation, equipment setup, surgical support, and recovery
• Perform and assist with dental procedures, including dental cleanings, dental radiographs, and dental charting
• Monitor hospitalized patients, assess changes in condition, and communicate findings to the veterinary team
• Perform and assist with radiology, laboratory diagnostics, and other in-house procedures while maintaining accurate medical records

About You

• Active RVT license required, with strong clinical skills in anesthesia monitoring, patient care, dentistry, and technical procedures
• Demonstrates strong clinical judgment and the ability to recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Compassionate, dependable, and accountable, with a strong commitment to patient safety and high-quality care
• Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills and a positive, client-focused approach
• Organized and adaptable, with the ability to prioritize effectively and thrive in a fast-paced veterinary hospital while continuing to grow clinically
