About the position:

We’re looking for a Senior Director of Operations & Country Manager who can lead the Lima office of our rapidly growing global service delivery team and help scale operations. The role is accountable for managing our team in Peru and supporting leadership with building a scalable organization and operating model that can accommodate our ambitious growth targets. In this role, the Senior Director will report directly to Third Way Health’s COO and work closely with the founders and other key members of the leadership team. This person will play an instrumental role in building a culture that upholds our values to Act as One Team, Own the Outcome, Default to Open, Learn Through Feedback, and See the Whole Person.

As Country Manager, the role will lead the build-out of Third Way Health’s new Lima office and serve as the most senior on-the-ground leader for the country. This person will provide onsite oversight of HR, Finance, IT, Facilities, Culture, and local leadership, ensuring the office is set up for long-term success. The Country Manager will also work directly with external stakeholders, including legal counsel, tax authorities, auditors, and other regulatory bodies, to ensure full compliance and a strong operational foundation in Peru.


Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the most senior in-country leader, with accountability for the performance, growth, and culture of Third Way Health’s Lima operation
  • Provide oversight of local HR, Finance, IT, Facilities, and administrative functions, ensuring each team is operating to support the country’s growth
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including legal counsel, tax authorities, auditors, banking partners, and regulatory bodies, to ensure full compliance with Peruvian requirements
  • Lead the end-to-end build-out of the new Lima office, including site selection, fit-out, vendor management, and establishment of local operating policies and procedures
  • Build and develop local leadership talent, drive employer branding in the Peruvian market, and cultivate a high-performance culture aligned with Third Way Health’s values
  • Partner with the global leadership team and service delivery leaders to ensure operational performance, and customer satisfaction
  • Own the country P&L, including budgeting, headcount planning, and cost management, to drive optimal unit economics and sustainable growth in Peru


Requirements:

  • University degree (MBA is a plus)
  • 10+ years of experience in consulting (Big 4 or Strategy) / strategy / business development / technology / or banking; ideally have high-growth or early-stage startup experience
  • Proven experience building and scaling high-performing teams, including hiring, developing, and leading talent from the ground up
  • Experience standing up new operations, offices, or market expansions
  • Strong stakeholder management, including influencing senior leadership and aligning global and local priorities
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and foster strong  inter-departmental collaboration
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and create structure in early-stage and evolving environments 
  • Self-driven problem solver with a strong sense of ownership and proven track record of delivering results
  • Thrives in fast-paced environments and adapts quickly to change
  • Energized by trying new things, continuous improvement, and making an impact
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly detail-oriented and extremely organized
  • Advanced PPT / Google slides and advanced Excel / Google sheets skills
  • Fluent in English and experience in working with US-based teams
