AI Data Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized AI Data Specialist to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the hands-on implementation, management, and quality assurance of human data collection surveys designed to validate and train our AI models. You will be instrumental in ensuring that our designed methodologies translate into clean, reliable, and actionable data.

What You'll Do:

• Survey Implementation & Launch: Configure, launch, and manage human validation surveys on various survey platforms based on pre-designed specifications and sampling plans.
• Ongoing Data Collection Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of continuous, longitudinal human data collection initiatives (similar to large-scale social surveys), ensuring consistent data flow, participant engagement, and adherence to schedules.
• Data Quality Assurance Execution: Execute established data quality protocols, including monitoring incoming data for anomalies, performing initial data cleaning, validating responses against criteria, and identifying potential issues for review by research leads.
• Participant Management: Assist in the recruitment, communication, and management of survey participants, ensuring a smooth and ethical participant experience.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Provide first-line troubleshooting for survey platform issues, participant access problems, or data collection discrepancies, escalating complex problems as needed.
• Reporting & Monitoring: Generate regular reports on survey progress, completion rates, data quality metrics, and operational performance.
• Support AI Training Data Collection: Assist in the operationalization and execution of survey-based data collection campaigns designed explicitly for AI model training, including configuring interfaces and managing data labeling processes where surveys are used for annotation.
• Documentation: Maintain meticulous documentation of survey configuration, operational procedures, participant communications, and data anomalies.
  
  
  

What You'll Bring:

• 1+ years of direct, hands-on experience in survey administration, data collection operations, or market research coordination.
• Demonstrated success in managing the end-to-end operational aspects of survey projects, including launch, monitoring, and closure.
• Experience with data cleaning, validation methods, and ensuring high data quality within collected datasets.
• Proficiency in using survey software for deployment, management, and data export. Strong spreadsheet skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets) for data manipulation, cleaning, organization, and basic analysis.
• Familiarity with various data storage concepts and file formats (CSV, JSON, etc.).
• Analytical & Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized, and methodical in approach to data management and quality. Ability to identify patterns, flag potential issues, and meticulously follow established procedures.
• Interest in AI: A piqued interest in AI and Machine Learning, and an understanding of how high-quality human data contributes to its development and success.
