Role: Strip & Load Supervisor

FLSA: Full Time / Non-Exempt/ Hourly

The Strip & Load Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily stripping, finishing, handling, staging, and loading of precast products. This position leads the production crew to complete work safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards and scheduled shipment requirements. The Supervisor is expected to maintain a strong floor presence, provide clear direction, and address operational issues promptly.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily strip and load activities, assigning employees and equipment based on production priorities.

• Ensure precast products are properly stripped, handled, finished, inspected, staged, and loaded for shipment.

• Verify products are handled safely and protected from damage during stripping, movement, storage, and loading.

• Coordinate loading activities to ensure products are organized correctly and ready for scheduled deliveries.

• Inspect finished products for visible defects, damage, or quality concerns and communicate issues to the Production Manager.

• Operate or oversee the safe use of forklifts, cranes, lifting equipment, tools, and other plant equipment as applicable.

• Ensure employees follow established procedures, PPE requirements, safety rules, and housekeeping standards.

• Provide direction, coaching, and on-the-job training to strip and load employees.

• Monitor attendance, productivity, work quality, and employee performance; address concerns promptly and communicate significant issues to management and HR.

• Maintain an organized work area and ensure tools, equipment, forms, and materials are properly maintained and stored.

• Communicate with Production, Logistics, and other departments regarding production status, loading priorities, product availability, and shipment needs.

• Identify delays, equipment problems, material issues, or other obstacles and take appropriate corrective action or escalate when necessary.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in manufacturing, precast concrete, construction, warehouse, loading, or a similar industrial environment preferred.

• Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred.

• Ability to read and follow production instructions and understand basic measurements and product specifications.

• Ability to safely work around heavy equipment, precast products, lifting operations, dust, noise, and changing weather conditions.

• Strong communication, organization, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to lead employees while maintaining professionalism, accountability, and respect.

Work Conditiions

This is a hands-on, on-site plant position requiring regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and working around heavy precast products and industrial equipment. The position may require outdoor work and exposure to noise, dust, varying temperatures, and other manufacturing conditions.
