What you will be doing:
Content Strategy:
- Develop and implement content marketing strategies aligned with overall business goals.
Content Creation:
- Produce various content formats, including articles, press releases, blog posts, social media updates, videos, customer stories, eBooks and email newsletters.
- Conduct interviews/research alongside customers, partners, and SMEs for customer stories.
- Liaise with our PR agency of record to ensure they have the resources necessary to publish on our behalf.
Content Distribution:
- Maintain a content calendar, plan and execute strategies for distributing content across different channels, including websites, social media, email, and other platforms.
- Manage our social media presence and ensure we are in the market with key messaging coming out of our Product and Partner Marketing Managers.
- Manage the blogger program when SMEs/stakeholders develop new blog content for publishing (conduct content reviews, publish on the blog, and showcase that content via our social channels).
SEO Optimization:
- Optimize content for search engines to improve visibility and organic traffic.
Audience Engagement:
- Interact with the audience, respond to comments and questions, and build relationships.
- Seek out pertinent conversations through social channels to amplify Pythian’s presence in the market.
Content Analysis:
- Track and analyze content performance using analytics tools to measure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Collaboration:
- Work with other marketing team members, offerings team members, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to ensure content aligns with overall marketing efforts.
- Conduct copyediting for any content requiring support from the Marketing team.
Staying Updated:
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in content marketing and methods of social media sharing.
Research:
- Conduct keyword research, analyze competitor content, and identify emerging trends.
- Explore new distribution channels to ensure we are not missing out on any reasonable opportunities to gain more visibility for our content.
What we need from you:
To be successful in this role at Pythian, candidates should possess a blend of strategic thinking, technical proficiency, and exceptional storytelling abilities.
Education and Experience
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field is typically required.
- Professional Experience: Proven experience in content or digital marketing, specifically within a B2B or technology environment.
- Proven Track Record: A strong portfolio of published work including blog posts, eBooks, case studies, and social media campaigns.
Technical Skills and Proficiency
- SEO Mastery: Practical knowledge of SEO best practices and keyword research tools to drive organic traffic.
- CMS & Platforms: Proficiency in using Content Management Systems to publish and review web and blog content.
- Data Analytics: Experience using tools like Google Analytics to track performance and identify areas for strategic improvement.
- Social Media Management: Ability to manage professional accounts and use social sharing methods to amplify brand presence.
Core Competencies
- Exceptional Writing: Superior storytelling, copywriting, and copyediting skills with a sharp eye for detail.
- Strategic Planning: Ability to develop long-term content strategies that align with business goals while maintaining a consistent content calendar.
- Interviewing & Research: Strong interpersonal skills for conducting interviews with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), partners, and customers.
- Project Coordination: Experience managing external partners, such as PR agencies, and collaborating with internal stakeholders.
