About the role
- Al-Qalam Foundation, a leading Islamic organization in Carrollton, Texas, is seeking an experienced, and skilled Human Resources Manager to oversee its HR functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing HR policies, managing recruitment and talent acquisition, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
What you'll do
- Act as first point of contact for HR-related employee inquiries and concerns
- Manage recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes to attract and retain top talent
- Monitor and ensure adherence to labor laws, industry regulations, and internal company policies, making timely updates to HR procedures and employee handbooks.
- Provide guidance and support on employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution
- Design and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes employee engagement and well-being
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and reports
- Develop and implement comprehensive HR policies and procedures aligned with the organization's mission and values
- Promote a positive work environment
- Facilitate conflict resolution, following Islamic etiquette and HR best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in HR management, preferably in a non-profit or faith-based organization
- Strong knowledge of employment law, and HR best practices
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Proven track record of working with and implementing an HRIS, and applicant tracking tool/s.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- SHRM-CP or HRCI certification
- Experience working with diverse communities and promoting inclusivity
- Knowledge of Arabic language and Islamic studies
