We’re looking for a strategic, hands-on QA Manager who will drive the evolution of quality engineering across our entire product ecosystem. This is not a maintenance role — it’s a mandate to transform how quality is defined, measured, and achieved at scale. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you’ll lead initiatives that require influence beyond QA, partnering closely with Engineering, Product, and DevOps to deliver consistent, high-quality software in a complex, cloud-connected architecture.
We need a builder, not just a manager — someone who has experience shaping automation strategies, embedding QA into Agile delivery, and thoughtfully incorporating AI and modern tooling to improve test coverage, speed, and efficiency. You'll be joining a collaborative and fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
At Qu you will:
- Lead and evolve our QA strategy, processes, and execution across all products
- Collaborate closely with development leadership in a "QA shift left" approach
- Work with Squads and Team Leads to achieve quality objectives and improve testing methodologies
- Design and implement comprehensive testing strategies including manual and automated testing
- Facilitate the development and implementation of API and strategic UI automation testing
- Oversee and improve test case management, test execution, smoke testing, and desk checks
- Implement and enhance performance testing and scalability testing protocols
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to QA team members
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive their implementation — including when those require coordination or resourcing outside the QA team
- Help make high-level technical decisions related to quality assurance infrastructure
- Assess and experiment with AI tools and practices that support better QA outcomes
What we're looking for:
- 7+ years of QA experience in a product development environment
- 3+ years in a QA leadership role
- Strong experience with test automation frameworks and tools, particularly API automation
- Experience with test case management systems and test execution frameworks
- Proficiency in performance testing and scalability testing methodologies
- Experience implementing and managing automated testing pipelines
- Knowledge of modern CI/CD practices and their integration with QA processes
- Experience working with cloud-based and hybrid-cloud architectures
- Understanding of Behavior-Driven Development frameworks like Cucumber
- Experience with operational activities - monitoring, alerting, reporting, etc.
- Background in training and mentoring QA engineers
The pay range for this role is:
120,000 - 150,000 USD per year (remote)
