As a Sales Engineer at Qu, you will be the technical expert and advisor during the sales process, working closely with the sales team to demonstrate the value and capabilities of Qu’s unified commerce platform to restaurant customers. You will help bridge the gap between customer needs and our product offerings, ensuring our clients understand how our technology can address their specific operational challenges.
At Qu you will:
Collaborate with Sales Team: Work alongside account executives to support the sales process by delivering technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution proposals tailored to the customer’s needs.
Drive Discovery & Customer Needs Assessment: Engage with prospective customers to understand and document their restaurant operations, pain points, and objectives, translating these into tailored product demonstrations.
Provide Technical Expertise: Provide in-depth technical knowledge of our platform, including features, integrations, hardware, and solutions.
Solution Design: Design and recommend solutions that integrate with the customer’s existing technology stack, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Address any technical questions or concerns that arise during the sales process and collaborate with internal teams to resolve them quickly.
Training and Onboarding: Assist prospective customers throughout the RFP and evaluation process with the technical setup and knowledge transfer of core concepts.
Industry Knowledge: Stay current with industry trends, restaurant technology, and competitor solutions to provide strategic insights during customer engagements.
Feedback Loop: Relay customer feedback to the product and development teams to help inform future enhancements and innovations.
What we're looking for:
Technical Background: Relevant professional technical experience or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology
Sales Engineering Experience: 2+ years of experience in a Sales Engineer or Solutions Engineer role, preferably in the restaurant, hospitality, or retail technology sector.
POS Experience: Hands-on experience with POS systems, restaurant technology, or related software solutions is highly desirable.
Communication Skills & Customer-Focused Mindset: Proven ability to understand customer needs, communicate complex technical concepts in layman’s terms, and propose practical solutions. Be comfortable presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly understand technical environments and make recommendations. Have a bias toward action
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including sales, product, implementation, and customer support.
Travel: Willingness to travel 30%, as needed to meet with clients or attend industry events.
