Data Specialist

The Data Specialist will be responsible and take ownership of processing data from quantitative surveys, clean and prepare the data for internal and external customers. This is a great opportunity for someone who is ready to make an impact on implementing best practices and take survey data to a new level in terms of visualization.


Working hours for this role are 12PM – 8 PM local Belgrade time.

The Data Specialist’s responsibilities are to deliver cleaned data files, merge data files for tracker based on client specifications, timing and adhering to high level of quality and in addition:

  • Processing and preparing quantitative data using SPSS, Q, DisplayR
  • Collaborate closely with survey programming for efficient data processing and investigate data issues
  • Collaborate closely with project coordinators and the Client Team to ensure meeting client timing and quality expectations
  • Quality Assurance
  • Advising internal and external clients on solutions
  • Assist and independently prepare tabulations, testing, weighting, and other research analysis methods using SPSS, Q and DisplayR

A core function of the role will require being proactive and up to speed on industry trends, and introduce improved methods to visualize data.


The ideal candidate will have the following attributes and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 1 year experience with Python and JavaScript
  • Minimum of 1 year experience with either SPSS or/and Q
  • Education in any of the following fields: analytics, statistics, mathematics, software engineering, marketing, market research
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel
  • Willing to learn and communicate new technologies
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills, able to handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously
  • Superior communication skills
  • Proactive and self-directed
  • ‘Get-it-done’ attitude
  • Creative and intellectually curious
  • Works well independently and with teams


In addition, the following are desirable:

  • Knowledge and experience with data visualization software such as Tableau, Alteryx, DisplayR
  • Knowledge and experience with advanced analytics software such as Sawtooth, SKIM
  • Used or knowledge of survey programming software tools such as Decipher, Confirmit, Qualtrics, Alchemer (fka SurveyGizmo), Momentive (fka SurveyMonkey)


Gross Monthly Salary Range

RSD 265,870 - 300,417
