Building our People: 

Quantum Industrial is seeking to attract and maintain the best talent in the industry through the development of a robust training platform we call “Quantum University” (“Quantum U” for short). Quantum U is currently in its infancy, but over the next year will stand as a viable alternative to traditional forms of education. For the folks in the field, Quantum U will offer accredited trade/craft programs allowing them to enter as an apprentice, get paid along the way as we employ them with real on-the-job opportunities, and graduate as journeymen. For the folks in the office (or those in the field seeking to be in the office), Quantum U will offer courses on leadership, project management, procurement, financial statement review, and more, to help drive forward their career development. 

 

Who we’re looking for: 

Simply put, Quantum is looking for a Director of Learning & Development to lead the development of Quantum U. This person should have a passion for education, the development of curriculum, and interacting with people. 

 

Location: 

Preferably Mesa, AZ (or surrounding Phoenix MSA); remote is possible with the expectation of regular travel (~2 weeks per month). 

 

Responsibilities: 

  1. Curriculum Development & Accreditation  
  • Lead the design, structure, and content development of Quantum U in coordination with subject-matter experts within our company. 
  • Leverage existing public content to streamline and expedite the development of each course.  
  • Select, implement, and manage the Learning Management System (LMS) platform that will host Quantum U. 
  • Ensure all craft/trade curriculum is developed to meet the requirements of appropriate accreditation bodies and manage the process of securing and maintaining accreditation. 
  • Communicate with each state’s Department of Licensing to ensure Quantum U meets all requirements necessary to satisfy trade/craft education requirements. 
  • Coordinate, communicate, and register with each state’s Apprenticeship office. 
  • Lead the creation of each course schedule, coordinating the dates/times, instructors, and material taught for each class. 
  1. Educational & Professional Partnerships 
  • Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with local colleges, trade schools, technical education institutions, and other professional organizations. 
  • Leverage educational and professional partnerships to develop and refine course material. 
  1. Recruitment & Quantum U Promotion 
  • Attend job fairs to promote Quantum Industrial as a training and employment leader. 
  • Partner with the Marketing department to develop and execute campaigns that raise awareness of Quantum U. 
  1. Program Evaluation & Continuous Improvement 
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and feedback mechanisms to measure learning outcomes and training effectiveness. 
  • Iterate and enhance training materials based on data, user experience, and evolving business needs. 
  • Stay current with industry trends in workforce development and apply innovative learning solutions (e.g., microlearning, mobile learning, etc.). 

 

Qualifications: 

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, organizational development, business, or related field. 
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong problem solver. 
  • 2+ years of experience in learning & development, training, or organizational development role. 
  • Proven experience leading curriculum development and working closely with SMEs to design practical training programs. 
  • Strong knowledge of LMS platforms and e-learning authoring tools. 
  • Exceptional project management, communication, and facilitation skills. 
  • A passion for workforce development, trades education, and empowering people through learning. 

 

Qualifications that would give your application an edge: 

  • Experience developing training in a field-heavy or trades-based company (e.g. mechanical, construction, electrical, plumbing, etc.). 
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.
