Job Summary

Quility is seeking a UX/UI Designer with 4+ years of experience in designing digital products to lead end-to-end user experience work for our web and mobile applications. In this role, you will own your work from discovery through delivery, participating in user research, defining user flows, creating wireframes and interactive prototypes, and delivering high-fidelity designs that translate complex challenges into simple, intuitive experiences. 

 

You will design user-centered, accessible interfaces, define interaction patterns and guidelines, and use available data to validate and iterate on solutions. Partnering closely with product owners, developers, engineering, architecture, data, customer service, and marketing, you’ll ensure designs are feasible, aligned with business goals, and consistent across products through a shared design system. 

 

You bring strong proficiency in Figma, an analytical and detail-oriented mindset, and excellent communication skills to clearly articulate design decisions and build alignment with stakeholders. You are proactive, process-driven, comfortable working under deadlines on multiple initiatives, and passionate about creating customer-focused experiences. Proven experience in designing digital products is required; a background in Insurtech/Fintech SaaS and working with AI to enhance workflows is a plus. 


Responsibilities

  • Responsible Ownership: 
    • Consistently and proactively ensure all work is meeting deadlines and follows processes to produce high-quality digital products and experiences. 
  • User Research:  
    • Conduct user research with stakeholders to gather insights into user behavior and preferences. 
    • Analyze and interpret research findings to inform design decisions and evaluate their effectiveness. 
  • Workflows: 
    • Develop user flow diagrams to define the structure and navigation of digital products. 
  • Wireframing and Prototyping: 
    • Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to visualize design concepts and interactions. 
    • Iterate on designs based on feedback and user testing results. 
  • Interaction & User Centered Design: 
    • Design intuitive, user-friendly, and accessible interfaces that meet user needs and business objectives. 
    • Advocate for a user-centered design approach throughout the product development process. 
    • Define and document interaction patterns and guidelines. 
  • Usability Testing: 
    • Plan and conduct usability tests to evaluate the effectiveness of designs. 
    • Identify usability issues and recommend improvements. 
  •  Collaboration: 
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners and managers, developers, engineering, architecture, data, customer service, and marketing, to ensure design aligns with constraints. 
  • Stakeholder Communication: 
    • Clearly communicate design recommendations and findings to stakeholders and team members, and build alignment on product strategy, design, functionality, and usability. 
    • Effectively communicate the rationale behind design decisions. 
  • Continuous Learning: 
    • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging design technologies. 

Qualifications

  • Experience 
    • 4+ years of professional experience designing digital products 
    • Have an online portfolio or other example work to share
  • Design Tools 
    • Proficient in Figma

Supervisory Responsibility 
This position has no supervisory responsibilities. 


Work Environment 
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.  


Physical Demands 
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 


This is largely a sedentary role; however, building access is limited to two sets of stairs and may require lifting or moving objects up to 30 lbs. The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work 
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m ET. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

The pay range for this role is:

85,000 - 100,000 USD per year (United States)
