About the role

Role type: for example: Permanent Full time, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday.

Location: for example: Field Based - on client sites, mostly in South East London

We are seeking a skilled Fire Stopper with a focus on fire door safety and passive fire protection. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality fire stopping installations and ensuring that fire door systems comply with the latest safety regulations and client requirements. This role involves working with a range of fire stopping systems, interpreting site documentation, and maintaining rigorous health and safety standards.

What you'll be doing

• Install fire doors in as per manufacturer specifications and fire safety standards.
• Perform minor repairs and adjustments to ensure doors self-close and latch correctly.
• Coordinate with relevant teams s for corrective actions when required
• Document work activities in compliance logs.
• Ensure strict adherence to health and safety protocols on all job sites.

What we're looking for

Essential:

• NVQ Level 2 in Passive Fire Protection
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Proven experience in a fire stopping or passive fire protection role
• Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations and passive fire protection systems
• Competence in using a variety of fire stopping products and hand tools
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Desirable:

• Knowledge of BM Trada fire door installations and inspection standards
