POSITION SUMMARY

Compensation: $21.00 - $25.00 Hourly (Depending on experience)


As an Assistant Property Manager, you will work closely with the Property Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure that the property is well-maintained and running smoothly. You will assist with leasing, maintenance requests, and resident relations to ensure the highest level of service is provided. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills and a passion for property management.


Reports To: The Assistant Property Manager typically reports to the Property Manager and collaborates with leasing, maintenance, and administrative teams to ensure the property’s success.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leasing & Resident Relations:

  • Assist with leasing and renewals to meet occupancy and retention goals.
  • Handle resident inquiries and provide outstanding customer service.
  • Ensure timely communication with residents regarding property updates, notices, and lease agreements.

Operations & Maintenance Coordination:

  • Coordinate maintenance requests and ensure timely resolutions.
  • Monitor and track property performance, reporting issues to the Property Manager.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure cleanliness, curb appeal, and compliance with safety standards.

Financial & Administrative Support:

  • Maintain accurate records of property activities, including leases, payments, and maintenance logs.
  • Assist with rent collection, payment processing, and financial reporting.
  • Support the Property Manager in preparing reports and managing budgets.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Education & Experience:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.
    • Previous property management or customer service experience.
  • Skills & Abilities:
    • Strong communication and organizational skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Frequent walking, standing, and climbing stairs while inspecting properties and interacting with residents.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs (e.g., boxes, office supplies, or maintenance tools).
  • Occasional bending, squatting, or kneeling to inspect facilities or manage small repairs.
  • Ability to operate office equipment, computers, and telephones for extended periods.


The pay range for this role is:

21 - 25 USD per hour (california, usa)
