Corporate Accountant

Job Description

 

The Corporate Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial records. This role involves preparing financial statements, managing general ledger activities, performing account reconciliations, and supporting the month-end and year-end closing processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to support the company’s financial objectives. All candidates must also be able to pass a criminal background and credit check.

Reports To – President and VP of Accounting

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with GAAP.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Month-End Close: Assist with the month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of key accounts, including bank accounts, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting Support: Collaborate with the finance team to provide accurate financial data for budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Ensure that all accounting procedures comply with internal control policies and procedures, identifying areas for improvement, as necessary.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations of financial data as required.
  • Stay up to date with changes in accounting regulations and standards to ensure compliance.
  • Provide financial analysis and support for special projects as needed.

·       Process, code and reconcile Corporate Credit Cards

·       Complete monthly bill-out allocations to various Properties

·       Assist as needed within the Accounting Department

·       Setup wires, ACH, and/or transfers as needed on various bank platforms

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • 7 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

 

 

Salary: $75,000

The pay range for this role is:

75,000 - 75,000 USD per year (Remote - United States)
