Benefits and Pay:

Salary Range: $80,000 - $85,000 (depending on experience)

Depending on the position offered, regular full-time and part-time team members may be eligible to participate in a bonus program in addition to their base salary.

Compliance Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Compliance Specialist to join our team. The Compliance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that our company adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role involves monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements, conducting internal audits, and providing guidance to employees on compliance-related matters.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance:

    • Monitor and interpret applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
    • Ensure company practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
    • Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in regulatory requirements.

Policy Development and Implementation:

    • Assist in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
    • Review and update existing policies to reflect changes in regulations or company practices.

Internal Audits and Monitoring:

    • Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Identify and address potential areas of risk or non-compliance.

Training and Education:

    • Develop and deliver training programs for employees on compliance-related topics.
    • Provide guidance and support to staff on compliance issues and procedures.

 

Qualifications:

Experience in a compliance role, preferably in Property Management and Affordable Housing.

Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with compliance management software.

Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Compliance, Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) and or Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP) are a plus.
