Founded in 2016 by a BCG consultant frustrated with his engagement ring buying experience, Rare Carat has grown to be one of the largest diamond jewelry online retailers in the United States. It was called the “Secret to Buying A Diamond” by the New York Times.


Rarecarat.com powers over $100m in annual sales by creating transparency in a historically opaque industry using AI indicators and human expert advice. Operating on an innovative "managed marketplace" business model, the company combines the selection advantages of a marketplace with the quality assurance of a traditional retailer.


We have grown to over 180+ employees, but remain a very flat and close-knit team committed to learning from each other, and having the best idea win.

Job Role Overview:
We are looking for a driven and customer-focused Inside Sales Executive with 1-2 years of experience in the jewelry sector or e-commerce. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on connecting with customers, has a knack for building relationships, and understands the nuances of selling high-value items online.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Engagement: Respond promptly to customer inquiries via email, chat, and phone, providing expert guidance on diamonds and fine jewelry.
  • Online Sales: Understand customer needs and preferences to recommend products that align with their style and budget.
  • Product Expertise: Stay updated on jewelry trends, product details, and Rare Carat offerings to educate and assist customers effectively.
  • CRM Maintenance: Log customer interactions and manage sales pipelines using CRM tools.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, product, and operations teams to enhance the customer experience and resolve issues efficiently.

    Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of experience in inside sales, jewelry retail, or e-commerce.
  • In-depth knowledge of diamonds, gemstones, and fine jewelry is a strong plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-centric approach.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite (or Google Workspace).
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
