As a Senior Data Engineer at Rearc, you'll play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining technical excellence within our data engineering team. Your deep expertise in data architecture, ETL processes, and data modelling will be instrumental in optimizing data workflows for efficiency, scalability, and reliability. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust data solutions that meet business objectives and adhere to best practices in data management. Building strong partnerships with both technical teams and stakeholders will be essential as you drive data-driven initiatives and ensure their successful implementation. 

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.

• Proven experience in building and maintaining data pipelines and workflows.

• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery.

• Proficiency in Java and SQL.

• Experience with cloud-based data solutions.

• Familiarity with Scala is a plus.

• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and data lake architectures.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

What You'll Do

• Design, implement, and optimize data ingestion pipelines and workflows.

• Develop robust ETL processes to transform and load data into a cloud data lake.

• Utilize Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services to build scalable and secure data solutions.

• Collaborate with Backend Engineers to integrate various data sources and systems.

• Automate data workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

• Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data lifecycle.

• Implement and maintain security best practices to protect sensitive data.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including cloud engineers, software engineers, and project managers.

• Document data processes, architectures, and solutions to ensure clarity and continuity.
