Ideal Candidate Profile

• 5+ years as a Controller, preferably in apparel/manufacturing/retail
• Strong NetSuite experience, ideally with some implementation experience
• Audit and compliance background – They should have been part of at least 2 audits in their past, look to understand their specific role on each
• Proven ability to establish processes and structure in high-growth environments – Ask for examples
• Comfortable mentoring an accounting team
• Exposure to private equity board reporting and presentation creation
• FP&A experience is a plus
• Nice-to-haves: Sales & Use Tax expertise, manufacturing experience, multi-channel familiarity

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee full-cycle accounting, month-end close, consolidation, and financial statements

- Develop and implement robust accounting policies, internal controls, and scalable processes

- Prepare and deliver monthly/quarterly/annual financial packages for management and private equity board review

- Lead annual audit and tax compliance; manage relationships with external auditors

- Supervise and mentor an accounting team; foster professional development

- Drive budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial modeling initiatives

- Proactively identify and implement process improvements and automation

- Support financial due diligence and ad-hoc reporting for growth initiatives

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred

- Minimum 5 years as a Controller in manufacturing/retail/apparel or relevant industries

- Proven NetSuite implementation, optimization, or deep usage experience

- Strong experience with external audits and compliance

- Skilled in establishing/process structuring for fast-growing firms

- Management experience supervising teams

- Excellent abilities in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

- Prior exposure to private equity board reporting and investor communication preferred

- Exceptional Excel proficiency

Nice-to-Haves:

- Sales & Use Tax expertise (multi-state compliance)

- Manufacturing background (cost accounting, production processes)

- Multi-channel experience (wholesale, retail, e-commerce)

- Inventory management and margin analysis across channels


Location & Work Arrangement

Role is based in Carrollton, TX and is hybrid with at least 3 days in office.
