WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:  We are currently seeking an experienced Planner for our retail division (DTC, ecommerce, Amazon, events) to join our planning team, working out of our headquarters near Dallas, TX.  This role will require experience in planning, data analysis and critical thinking to help Rebel achieve its inventory, in-stocks and financial goals. 

Responsibilities will include developing and executing both short-term and long-range sales to receipt planning.  You will work globally with a variety of vendors, and our Rebel China team to ensure product is delivered on time, and on quality. A full understanding of demand signals, forecasting, fabric and production lead-times, and open-to-buy are key.  Success will be predicated on the ability to work cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Sourcing, Finance, Operations and Supply Chain partners.

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Demand & Business Planning

       Own style / color / channel level demand forecasts across the retail channel

       Translate sales, merchandising strategy, and market signals into rolling monthly and seasonal forecasts

       Lead forecast alignment with Merchandising, Sales, and Marketing

       Scenario plan upside/downside demand and manage lifecycle (launch, carryover, exit)

 

Supply & Production Planning

       Convert demand into supply plans, receipt plans, and executable PO strategies

       Issue and manage POs aligned to MOQ, lead times, and factory capacity

       Communicate long-range forecasts to factories to secure capacity

       Partner with Sourcing, Supply Chain, and factories to manage constraints and tradeoffs

 

Inventory & Flow Optimization

       Own inventory strategy by SKU and category (never-out, A/B/C, seasonal, exit)

       Develop specific inventory strategies for Amazon FBA

       Where inventory is “shared” with other divisions ensure plan is integrated

       Build short- and long-range inventory plans balancing in-stock, turns, and cash outlay

       Identify and mitigate excess, slow-moving, and at-risk inventory

       Align receipts with warehouse capacity, labor, and logistics execution

 

Execution, Logistics & Risk Management

       Manage end-to-end timing from factory exit to in-warehouse availability

       Adjust plans based on transit risk, capacity constraints, or business shifts

       Protect launches and key in-stock dates through proactive replanning

       Surface risks early with clear options and recommendations

 

Systems, Reporting & Leadership

       Own planning tools and data integrity (NetSuite, Excel)

       Define and track KPIs (forecast accuracy, in-stock, turns, WOS)

       Drive continuous improvement in planning processes and systems

       Act as the connective tissue across Product, Merchandising, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Ops, and Sales

 

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • 2-5 years of Planning experience required in apparel, or related categories
  • 2-5 years working with overseas manufacturing partners required
  • College degree in Supply Chain or Business preferred
  • Expert level Microsoft Excel skills required
  • Experience in Netsuites a plus
  • Ability to work in ambiguous and ever-changing environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team in a collaborative setting
  • Advanced experience in using Microsoft Office suite of tools, especially Excel
  • Demonstrated results managing inventory, scheduling, and other job-related functions
  • Strong critical thinking skills and proven ability to work through complex issues and identify/present suggestions to solve problems. 
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Self-motivation and strong sense of urgency


The salary for this role is:

70,000 USD per year
