Role Description

As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a highly experienced and talented Data Scientist with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience to lead our efforts in extracting actionable insights from Amazon data related to advertising, conversion, customer behavior, and predictive analytics. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Amazon Advertising Analysis
    • Develop sophisticated models to evaluate the performance of our advertising campaigns on Amazon, including leveraging Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC).
    • Identify key metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of our advertising spend.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to optimize advertising strategies based on data-driven insights.
  • Conversion Optimization 
    • Analyze and optimize the conversion funnel, from product views to completed transactions.
    • Utilize statistical methods and machine learning models to identify factors influencing conversion rates
    • Implement A/B testing and multivariate analysis to drive continuous improvement in conversion metrics.
    • Build dashboards to measure, track, recommend, and rank keywords for listings as well as changes to listings to enhance our SEO competitiveness - working with our SEO and Brand Operations teams to determine what features are most needed/desired for comprehension
  • Customer Behavior Analysis
    • Analyze customer interactions, preferences, and behaviors on our Amazon platforms.
    • Develop segmentation models to understand and target specific customer groups.
    • Provide actionable insights to enhance the overall customer experience and increase customer loyalty.
  • Predictive Analytics 
    • Build predictive models to forecast sales, demand and other key business metrics. 
    • Utilize machine learning algorithms to identify trends and patterns that can inform strategic decision-making.
    • Work closely with stakeholders to integrate predictive models into business planning processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics or related field
  • 10+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or related role, with a focus on e-commerce and Amazon data analytics; including experience in Reporting Automation, API integrations, Statistical Data Analysis and Data Visualization
  • Demonstrated working proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and AWS
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning techniques, and predictive analysis
  • Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC), and familiarity with Amazon Advertising APIs.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
