Job Purpose
The Video Production Intern plays a key role in supporting Red Aspen’s Creative Team by producing short-form video content that showcases our brand, products, and community. This position provides hands-on experience in both video production and post-production, while contributing meaningful content for social media, the website, and events. The purpose of this role is to assist our Videographer with day-to-day projects, gain exposure to studio workflows, and strengthen the team’s ability to consistently deliver engaging, on-brand video content.
Key Responsibilities
- Shoot and edit short videos (5-10 seconds), producing 1-3 videos per week for use across social media platforms and the company website.
- Support filming and editing for brand videos, product features, and event coverage, ensuring content aligns with creative direction and brand standards.
- Assist with studio setup including cameras, lighting, audio, and other production equipment, and help maintain an organized and efficient studio space.
- Assist in editing a variety of video content, ensuring quality and consistency across platforms.
- Work with the videographer and creative team to bring concepts to life through visual storytelling.
- Maintain collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Provide hands-on support during shoots and post-production, taking on a variety of tasks to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Film and Television, Media Production, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience shooting video with DSLR cameras, including basic knowledge of framing, composition, and camera settings.
- Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro (or similar professional editing software).
- Strong interest in video production, storytelling, and digital media trends.
- Ability to work in a team environment, take direction, and contribute ideas in a creative, fast-paced setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Preferred
- Experience with DaVinci Resolve.
- Knowledge of audio production.
- Familiarity with studio lighting setups and techniques.
- Experience with animation tools or motion graphics to enhance video content.
- Must have a love for tacos or sushi!
