Part-Time Shift Lead (Financial District, San Francisco)

At Red Bay Coffee, we’re foodies, artists, activists, and innovators — and we believe coffee is a vehicle for connection, empowerment, and change. We're looking for a part-time Shift Lead to join our team at our café in San Francisco's Financial District.

What You'll Do:

• Lead daily café operations alongside the Coffee Shop Manager.
• Ensure top-quality drinks, food, and service every shift.
• Support ordering, inventory, scheduling, and timesheet approvals.
• Coach baristas about cafe operations with care and consistency.
• Maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and professional environment for our team and guests.
• Open and close the café confidently and guide the team through busy rushes.

What We're Looking For:

• 1+ years of barista experience, preferably in Specialty Coffee.
• Strong technical skills in espresso, milk steaming, and brewing methods.
• Ability to mentor others and model excellent service standards.
• A natural communicator who offers honest and kind feedback
• Food Handler’s Card (or willing to obtain one quickly).
• Deep respect for inclusivity, teamwork, and community.
