About the role

  • The Dental Assistant is an on-site, hourly clinical position that plays an essential role in delivering a smooth, comfortable, and well-organized orthodontic experience for every patient. As part of the Redemption Orthodontics Clinical Team, you will work closely with our orthodontists to provide chairside assistance, educate patients and families, maintain accurate clinical records, and support treatments from beginning to completion. This position may occasionally require travel between office locations.
  • Please note: At Redemption Orthodontics, we always prioritize full time applicants, but on occasion will hire part-time positions.

What you'll do

  • You will provide chairside assistance during orthodontic appointments while helping patients understand their treatment, orthodontic procedures, and aftercare instructions. Responsibilities include taking clinical records such as X-rays, photographs, impressions, and digital scans; completing treatment-card entries and patient comments; seating and dismissing patients; and scheduling the appropriate next appointment.
  • You will assist with a wide range of clinical services, including braces, Invisalign, iTero initial and refinement scans, orthodontic appliances, fixed and removable retainers, comfort visits, and whitening. You will also prepare and clean clinical workstations, follow proper sterilization procedures, and consistently use established materials, instruments, consent forms, templates, checklists, protocols, and clinical workflows. All responsibilities must be performed in compliance with applicable OSHA, HIPAA, state, and federal requirements.

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate is positive, patient, dependable, and committed to providing an excellent experience for both patients and fellow team members. You should have strong internal and external communication skills, be comfortable following detailed clinical systems and protocols, and be able to use Cloud 9 and other required software platforms.
  • CPR certification, an X-ray license, and Orthodontic Dental Assistant certification are required or must be completed through the available on-the-job process.
  • Basic dental knowledge is preferred.
  • Experience in a dental, orthodontic, medical, hospitality, customer-service, or fast-paced administrative setting would be beneficial.
