ABOUT THIS ROLE
We are looking for an AI Content Marketer to own the creation and execution of content around our AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) strategy.
In the past year, we've launched a suite of AI-powered product tools (Reforge Insights, Research, Build, and Reforge Launch) that are growing rapidly through product launches. We are now building the sustainable, compounding content engine that will fuel our next phase of growth.
This role is helping build that engine by creating content that helps product teams discover us through AI-powered search. You'll work with top-tier AEO strategy experts who will provide direction, while you own the rapid, high-quality execution across every content format imaginable. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on variety, moves fast, and gets energized by seeing their content drive real business results.
It will require juggling many initiatives, mastering new AI tools weekly, and becoming the Swiss Army knife of content creation. But you'll be instrumental in establishing Reforge as the go-to resource for product teams embracing AI.

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
- Brian Balfour (CEO) - You'll have direct access to Brian, receiving strategic direction and feedback on high-priority initiatives
- Jimmy Daly (Marketing Lead) - Work with Jimmy Daly who leads our marketing content. Jimmy has a decade plus of experience and deep network in the content space.
- External AEO Strategists - Partner with leading experts like Ethan Smith (Graphite) who will provide keyword research, competitive analysis, and strategic direction
- Will Georges (Head of Data) - Partner with Will to analyze content performance and identify opportunities
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
You'll own the end-to-end execution of our AEO content creation, working closely with external partners to maximize our visibility across all surfaces where product teams seek solutions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Multi-Format Content Creation - Write optimized blog posts, comprehensive guides, and landing pages about AI prototyping, user research, and product development tools
- Landing Page Creation - Format, write, and create landing pages in tools like Framer.
- Video Production - Script, record, and edit YouTube tutorials and how-to videos that showcase our tools and methodologies
- Community Engagement - Monitor and respond to relevant Reddit threads, Slack communities, and forums where product teams discuss challenges we solve
- AI Tool Mastery - Leverage ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney, Runway, and emerging AI tools to 10x your content output without sacrificing quality
- Content Repurposing - Transform existing Reforge content (research recordings, course materials, expert interviews) into new formats optimized for discovery
- Performance Tracking - Work with AEO tools to measure content impact and iterate based on what drives actual leads and conversions
- Rapid Experimentation - Launch 20+ content experiments monthly across different formats and platforms to find what resonates
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- You are a high-level individual contributor.
- You eat, breathe, and sleep content creation.
- Portfolio demonstrating range across written content, video, and visual formats
- A constant user and explorer of AI tools - you should already be using Claude/ChatGPT, image/video generation tools daily. You may be using other tools like AirOps, n8n, or more.
- Reddit, YouTube native. You understand the culture of what works and doesn’t work on those platforms.
- Proven ability to write clear, engaging content about professional topics for a product/engineering audience
- Video skills including recording, basic editing, and optimization for YouTube/social platform
- Exceptional project management - you can juggle 10+ concurrent initiatives without dropping balls
- Scrappy problem-solver who figures things out independently rather than waiting for detailed instructions
- Speed and quality in equal measure - you ship fast but maintain high standards
- Deep curiosity about AI, product development, and how people discover and evaluate tools

COMPENSATION
We have built a data-driven compensation philosophy at Reforge, with the intent of enabling all employees to do their best work. When setting compensation for each role, we use bands that include a target salary; on occasion we will extend an offer above or below the target if the skills presented in the interview process show spikes or peaks—but this is rare, and the highest likelihood is that your offer will be at target.
The target salary for this role is $136,000 - $184,000.
Equity is also included and will be discussed during the interview process.
