ABOUT THIS ROLE

You will work closely with Product, Design, and other Engineering leaders to build and scale the next generation of Reforge’s AI-powered tools. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be instrumental in shaping our architecture, writing high-quality code, and delivering seamless user experiences that empower product teams to ship high-quality software faster.

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

You will collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering, ensuring that our technical execution aligns with business goals.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

• Build and maintain full-stack features using TypeScript, React/Next.js, Node.js, and other modern web technologies.
• Work across the frontend and backend to implement reliable, scalable functionality.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to translate requirements into intuitive user experiences.
• Write maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
• Improve performance, reliability, and developer experience across the stack.
• Contribute to documentation, internal tools, and shared engineering practices.
• Learn from and partner with senior engineers on larger technical initiatives.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Professional experience building full-stack applications, ideally in a tech startup or high-growth environment.
• Strong proficiency with TypeScript and experience using React and modern frontend frameworks.
• Familiarity with backend development using Node.js.
• Understanding of modern web architectures, APIs, and cloud services.
• Experience working with data stores such as MySQL, Redis, or similar technologies.
• Ability to write clean code and work within an established engineering process.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to break down requirements into clear implementation steps.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving remote environment with a bias toward shipping.
• Good communication skills - you can explain technical choices and collaborate effectively.

COMPENSATION

We have built a data-driven compensation philosophy at Reforge, with the intent of enabling all employees to do their best work. When setting compensation for each role, we use bands that include a target salary; on occasion we will extend an offer above or below the target if the skills presented in the interview process show spikes or peaks—but this is rare, and the highest likelihood is that your offer will be at target.

The salary range for this role is $130,000 - $170,000. Equity is also included and will be discussed during the interview process.

We do not negotiate offers because our compensation philosophy is based on equitability and intentional placement within the market.
