ABOUT THIS ROLE
- Seize a 4× Growth Curve: You’ll work on Reforge Insights, which is growing 3X to 4X YoY.
- Take the Torch From the Founders: The sales motion is still founder-led. We need a seasoned SE who can grab the playbook, iterate fast, and own the whole technical win. No layers of management—just impact.
- Build for Product Leaders: Our buyers are PMs, Product Ops, VPs Product & CPOs. If you love chatting building, roadmaps, and feedback loops, you’ll feel right at home.
- Play at the AI Frontier: We’re weaving generative AI into every customer touchpoint—personalized onboarding flows, self-service diagnostics, and automated insight surfacing. You’ll shape, test, and ship these experiences.
- Small, High Performance Team: <40 teammates, no bureaucracy, rapid iteration.
WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
You'll work closely with Product, Engineering, our key customers, and our founder to build a successful SaaS business.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
- Own Pilots: Partner with Account Executives to design and deliver world-class, storytelling-based pilots, run pointed discovery sessions, and own proofs of concept of Reforge’s solution.
- Integrate Customer Data: Implement integrations between Insights and third-party services or customer data sources (e.g. setting up APIs, webhooks, and data pipelines with Snowflake, BigQuery) to unlock instant insights. Write or tweak code (TypeScript / Node.js) to connect systems together.
- Accelerate Deployments and Use Case Expansion: Partner with Customer Success to manage full production roll-outs and use case expansion for customers.
- Be an in-house Expert: Be an in-house expert in Reforge’s product and stay up-to-date on product releases and new features.
- Be the Voice of the Customer: Work with product to translate customer pains you are seeing into product requirements; ship fixes & features at startup speed.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- You Have Done It Before: 6-8+ years as a Sales Engineer, Technical Product Manager, Solutions Architect, or Implementation Lead selling SaaS to product, data, or engineering teams.
- Run on Urgency: You live by the mantra “respond in <10 mintues, solve in <1 day.”
- Technical Proficiency: Strong coding skills in JavaScript / TypeScript,. with experience in React, Node.js, as well as SQL. (You don’t need to be a senior engineer, but you do need to be comfortable reading and writing code to debug issues and build integrations.)
- Love Product: You have an appetitive for learning about the world of product management, data, and AI.
- AI-Enthusiast: You are constantly experimenting with AI products and technology to figure out ways of creating a better customer experience and scaling your work. You are constantly building automations to automate yourself and take on new problems.
- Bridge Biz & Tech: You can whiteboard data architecture for a customer and connect it to team value for a product leader.
- Startup DNA: You thrive in fast-adapting environments, contribute beyond the job description, and love figuring out new problems.

COMPENSATION
We have built a data-driven Compensation Philosophy at Reforge, with the intent of enabling all employees to do their best work. When setting compensation for each role, we use bands that include a target salary; on occasion we will extend an offer above or below the target if the skills presented in the interview process show spikes or peaks—but this is rare, and the highest likelihood is that your offer will be at target.
The target salary for this role is $217,000. Equity is also included and will be discussed during the interview process.
We do not negotiate offers because our compensation philosophy is based on equitability and intentional placement within the market.
