POSITION SUMMARY: 
 
The Sr. Manager, Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) is responsible for the entire lifecycle of patient revenue. It includes supervising a team of Revenue Cycle Specialists, monitoring their performance, assisting with issues as they arise and conducting regular quality audits of the staff’s work. By ensuring that all processes related to billing, coding, collections, and patient insurance are efficiently managed, the Revenue Cycle Senior Manager supports the organization’s ability to provide care while maintaining financial stability.
 
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:  
  • Develop and implement strategies to minimize bad debt, enhance revenue capture, and improve overall cash flow and profitability of the organization.   
  • Provide regular communication and feedback to supervisor. 
  • Promote effective working relationships with Center administration and staff.
  • Collaborate with clinical departments to ensure accurate and timely documentation and coding of services for billing purposes.
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of payer contracts for each Center in your purview.
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate the department’s mission, vision, and values, as well as the department’s goals, to all staff.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the RCS team, setting performance standards and goals to achieve optimal productivity and efficiency.
  • Understand and demonstrate (where applicable) the process, training and build necessary for a successful Center implementation. 
  • Analyze financial data and reports to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement within the revenue cycle process.
  • Demonstrate appropriate time management skills, prioritization, and task completion. 
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments or pieces of work at one time.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
 
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. Our ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of medical billing procedures, healthcare software, and detailed understanding of medical insurance policies The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required. 
 
Education/Experience: 
 
Required: 
  • Associate or bachelor's Degree or Ten years (10) experience billing/collecting in a healthcare setting 
  • Knowledge of healthcare operations 
  • Proficient computer skills: 
    1. HST/ SIS PM System Experience - Preferred
  • Five years (5) of ASC experience 
  • Three years (3) supervisory experience 
  • Microsoft Office certifications Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, and percentages.
