POSITION SUMMARY:
 
The Manager, Benefits will evaluate and implement benefit strategies and programs that align with the company’s goals and long-term business strategies. This role will assist in the design and execution of programs that assist the organization in rewarding and retaining our workforce within the parameters of our Total Rewards philosophy. The position will work with operational and executive leaders to consistently benchmark and evaluate our practices relative to the market, make recommendations, and implement programs within our organization in support of a performance culture. The role is also responsible for ensuring that company programs are consistently administered in compliance with internal policies and government regulations.
 
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:                                                                          
 
  • Manage the development, implementation, and administration of total rewards and benefit programs.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of existing practices and recommend changes that are cost effective and consistent with benefit trends and company objectives.
  • Design creative solutions that result in effective benefit programs including certain compensation plans.
  • Prepare and present data and reports for review by senior management and the Human Capital Committee of the Board of Directors.
  • Evaluate the workforce participation in benefit programs and recommend changes that are valued by employees and cost effective.
  • Manage the annual benefit enrollment process and administration of Total Rewards programs.
  • Provide leadership in the governance of the Company 401(k) Plan.
  • Manage partnerships with consultants to evaluate and design our programs.
  • Participate in total rewards surveys and monitor survey data to ensure business objectives are supported through competitive programs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation and benefit-related laws and regulations. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
 
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: 
 
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required.
 
 
Education/Experience: 
 
  • Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree in related field preferred.  
  • A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in benefit administration, ideally in the health care sector or a geographically disperse business
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations as they apply to short and long-term total rewards and benefit programs
