About the role
Under the direction of the Administrator, the Surgery Scheduler is proficient in all
areas of the revenue cycle including surgery scheduling, insurance verification,
cash management, coding, billing, accounts receivable follow-up and patient
registration.

Qualifications
Preferred
1. Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university and three
years experience

1. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating
and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write
routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before
groups of customers or employees of organization. Excellent interpersonal
and communication skills.
3. Computer Skills: Job requires specialized computer skills. Must be adept at
using various applications including database, spreadsheet, word
processing, communication by e-mail and use of specialty software.
4. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out
instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with
problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
5. Special Requirements: Must be able to work variable hours and be flexible to
meet the needs of the center’s daily surgery schedule.
