Digital Organizing Intern

ABOUT RELENTLESS

Relentless is an organizing company focused on unlocking political power through relational organizing. Relational organizing is the simple, proven concept that people talking to their friends and family is more effective than strangers talking to strangers. Our flagship product, Rally, is a social graph, power-mapping tool, and program management platform that makes running scaled relational programs simple. Our in-house program team brings their deep experience to supercharge the programs that run on Rally and mobilize communities at scale to have meaningful conversations, get out the vote, and so much more.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • In 2024, Relentless is running a first-of-its-kind compensated relational program at scale across battleground states using Rally. This program will hire 20,000+ low turnout voters to become relational organizers in their communities and turn their friends and families out to vote. We're looking for a creative, motivated, college student to help power and scale this program.

The Digital Organizing intern will support all aspects of the digital organizing program.

The Digital Organizing intern will support all aspects of the digital organizing program. This is a dynamic role supporting a fast-paced program with needs and priorities that shift daily. Tasks will include writing content to support participants in the program, sending and responding to SMS messages recruiting participants into the program and supporting them once they are in the program; reviewing participant applications; using digital tools and tactics to creatively reach potential participants and recruit them to join the program, and other tasks as they arise. The Digital Organizing Intern may also complete some administrative tasks including organizing digital files, or conducting research into issues on the ballot, polling, and messaging best practices.

This is a great role for someone who is interested in making a difference this election and learning the skills to pursue organizing, digital, or training roles on campaigns.

A great Digital Organizing Intern might look a couple different ways:

The detail-oriented perfectionist: You love research and writing, and you never miss a stray punctuation mark. You have a strong opinion about the Oxford comma, and people are always asking you to proofread their essays. You love synthesizing information and communicating in writing, and the idea of digging into messaging research and writing a brief on what you find makes you excited.

The creative digital force: You are very online, and you love the idea of figuring out creative ways to reach people where they are – whether that be in Instagram DMs, Twitch communities, or other online spaces the writers of this JD are too out-of-touch to know about. You are a doer; you can have an idea, get the green light, and be raring to go get started in a matter of hours.

The people-person: You love talking to people, and the idea of texting, DMing, or calling voters sounds like a great time to you. You’re excited to support participants in having an amazing first experience with politics, and are ready to work across platforms to make that happen.

The designer: You want to be involved in all of the graphic design and/or video projects you can get your hands on. You’re excited about using your design skills to meet new voters where they are and get them excited about participating in this election.

Or, you might be a combo of the above or a great fit in ways that aren’t listed! If you’re interested, we’d love to have you apply.
