About the role
We are seeking to hire a part-time Child Care Coordinator. We are looking for a gifted leader who is passionate about children and discipleship, and who is creative and good with details. This position will oversee a program called House Church Child Care which is offered on 2-3 evenings to care for children ages 0-11. In this program, children attend House Church Child Care while their parents attend our weekly House Church.
This position is part-time working 10 hours a week onsite in the evenings with some daytime office hours. The pay rate for this role is $23 per hour.
What you'll do
Oversee House Church Child Care Programming
- Provide vision and systems to ensure a quality Child Care program, actively identifying areas of improvement
- Continually develop and refine an ongoing activity schedule for Child Care that is focused on enrichment for children.
- Ensure each classroom is prepared for each night of Child Care, ensuring all necessary supplies, resources and areas are ready for programming
- Oversee check-in and payment processes for participating families
- Appropriately address all escalated questions, concerns, and issues from parents/staff/volunteers regarding the House Church Child Care Ministry
Oversee House Church Child Care Staffing
- Support recruitment, training and management of Child Care Workers
- Manage all Child Care Worker schedules for each night of House Church, ensuring adequate coverage for all children in our care
- Manage Child Care lead staff, providing clear support and communication in order to ensure the ministry runs at Renovation Church standards
Meetings
- Meet regularly with your Location Pastor and the Central Children’s Ministry Leader to ensure the overall health of the ministry, ensuring continued improvement or enrichment of the ministry
- Attend all required staff meetings and departmental meetings

- Ability to recruit, train, and manage qualified volunteers and qualified child care providers
- Has a strong ability to organize and follow through with ongoing tasks
- Has demonstrated ability to oversee complex administration over multiple areas
- Ability to see refinements needed and implement effective changes
- Has a strong ability to organize and follow through with ongoing tasks
- A minimum of 1 year of experience working in an administrative capacity, preferably in a ministry context
Physical Requirements
- Ability to navigate church or facility buildings, often including steps
- Frequent walking, standing, kneeling, and bending
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds for extended periods of time
