Customer Support Specialist - Seattle, WA
RentSpree is seeking a Customer Support Specialist to join our team and deliver world-class customer and technical support. In this role, you will be the face of RentSpree—providing vital assistance and guidance to agents, landlords, and renters while also supporting our internal team with day-to-day IT needs. We are seeking a candidate with strong communication skills, particularly in phone support, who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and has the technical aptitude to assist with basic IT operations.
Breakdown: ~80% Customer Support | ~20% IT Support
What You'll Do
Customer Support (~80%)
- Be logged in and available on Aircall from the start of your shift until the end of your shift to handle inbound calls from users
- Provide Tier 1 support to agents, landlords, and renters via phone—troubleshooting and resolving simple to complex system-related issues with proactive solutions and exceptional service
- Track issues through HubSpot (CRM) and ensure prompt resolution; escalate higher-tier issues to the appropriate team or support lead when necessary
- Work on projects aligned with OKRs (Objectives and Key Results), focusing on continuous improvement and growth initiatives for both the company and your role
- Participate in quality testing scenarios and consistently offer feedback to improve the user experience
- Share ideas and collaborate cross-functionally to improve support workflows and the overall customer experience
IT Support (~20%)
- Assist with IT setup for new hires, including hardware provisioning (Mac/PC), account configuration, and basic troubleshooting to ensure every team member is ready for Day 1
- Provide general technical support to internal team members, including troubleshooting office hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Help develop and maintain troubleshooting procedures and training documents to support both personnel and end-users

Skills You Bring (Required)
- 2+ years of experience in customer-facing support, with an emphasis on phone-based support
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to remain calm and professional in all circumstances
- Experience triaging and troubleshooting issues with users and providing clear, concise solutions
- Familiar with PC and Mac operating systems and mobile devices
- Ability to set priorities, problem-solve, multitask, and work independently in a dynamic startup environment
- This role requires full-time M-F business hours at our downtown Seattle office.
Skills You Bring (Desired)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Previous experience in a SaaS (Software as a Service) support environment
- Experience using CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, or Zendesk) to track support tickets and user interactions
- Experience using JIRA
- Familiarity with OKRs and experience contributing to growth-oriented projects or initiatives
- Experience in product testing and providing feedback on software updates & releases
