Software Engineer II - Seattle (hybrid)
We are currently seeking a frontend-leaning fullstack Software Engineer II to join our first US-based engineering team at RentSpree (we’ve built a team of 80 in-house engineers in Thailand over the past 8 years, and are working to balance out our geographic presence!) You will help us build greenfield products for our embedded finance platform for rental property owners. This is an exciting high-priority product expansion and vision/direction for our business; thus, you’ll be joining a high-impact, top-tier team.
This role is hybrid in-office in downtown Seattle 2x/week.
What You'll Do
- Be part of a fast-moving agile team, delivering products in a continuous delivery environment.
- Perform maintenance and optimization of existing systems, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Perform code reviews, mentor other engineers, perform incident retrospectives, and participate in a culture of shared learning.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to inform decision-making and technology adoption.

Skills You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development
- Full stack experience (though this role is frontend leaning)
- Technical skills in modern programming languages and frameworks including one of the following:
- JavaScript or TypeScript using React
- Node, Kotlin, or Java/Spring Boot
- Nice to have: Experience using both document databases like MongoDB as well as SQL-based databases like PostgreSQL
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
