Senior IT Manager, Global Operations (US & TH), Based in Bangkok, Thailand

RentSpree operates primarily from the US, with our Bangkok office supporting backend and operational functions. As we continue to grow, our IT function plays a critical role in enabling secure, reliable, and scalable technology services across both locations.

In this role, you will own the foundation that keeps our business running, from endpoint management and automation to identity access governance and IT’s SOC 2 Type II compliance. You will help us answer key questions such as: How do we scale IT efficiently across time zones? How do we maintain strong compliance while enabling speed? How do we automate onboarding and SaaS governance without sacrificing security? And how do we build a global IT function that is resilient, scalable, and aligned with long-term company growth?

This is a high-impact leadership role reporting to the Associate Director of Business Operations. You will lead a team of two IT specialists in Bangkok, collaborate closely with our US-based IT team, and partner with Engineering, People & Culture, and Finance as a trusted technology partner to business leaders. You'll thrive here if you are both strategic and hands-on. Someone who can define long-term, multi-year IT direction and organizational design while also improving ticket SLAs, refining automation workflows, or strengthening audit documentation.

You will support a distributed remote and hybrid team across multiple time zones through our SpreeHours model (see below), and occasional off-hours support may be required for critical incidents or major rollouts.

What You'll Do

IT Operations & Support

  • Own and scale global IT support for a remote and hybrid team across multiple time zones.
  • Support and maintain macOS and Windows environments, with 95% macOS.
  • Define, measure, and continuously improve IT support KPIs (SLA adherence, MTTR, CSAT, automation rate).
  • Design and evolve a scalable global support model (tiering, escalation, regional coverage).
  • Drive ticket reduction through automation, self-service, and knowledge management.

Device Management

  • Own global endpoint management strategy (Kandji or equivalent MDM).
  • Implement zero-touch device enrollment, compliance policies, and automated configurations.
  • Manage global IT inventory across US and Thailand. Standardize hardware and lifecycle policies to support scale and cost control.
  • Oversee full asset lifecycle: procurement, assignment, replacement, and decommissioning.

Identity & Access Management

  • Own identity and access management strategy, with Google Workspace as primary IdP.
  • Lead user lifecycle management and access control.
  • Automate provisioning for onboarding and offboarding.
  • Implement least-privilege access models and periodic access reviews.

Automation & SaaS Administration

  • Design and maintain IT automation workflows for accounts, devices, and applications.
  • Centralize SaaS access management, approvals, and license governance.
  • Rationalize and standardize enterprise tooling to reduce redundancy and improve security posture.

Collaborate with Security & Compliance

  • Own endpoint security, access security, and data protection.
  • Lead IT compliance for SOC 2 Type II and internal IT audits.
  • Maintain and enforce company-wide IT policies and standards.
  • Partner with Engineering and Security on enterprise risk management.

IT Leadership

  • Build, develop, and scale a high-performing global IT organization in the US and Thailand.
  • Ensure knowledge sharing and operational coverage for global support.
  • Define and execute IT strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Lead IT initiatives including system implementations, security projects, and process improvements.
  • Act as a trusted technology partner for business stakeholders. Present IT performance, risk, and roadmap updates to executive leadership.

Budget & Vendor Management

  • Build and own the annual global IT budget.
  • Own vendor relationships and contracts (SaaS, hardware, security).
  • Drive vendor consolidation and contract negotiations at scale.
  • Optimize cost efficiency and ROI.

Required Skills & Experience

Required

  • 8+ years of progressive IT experience, including 3+ years managing IT teams or leading IT operations at a SaaS or technology company.
  • Direct people management experience, including hiring, coaching, and performance development.
  • Hands-on expertise with MDM platforms (Kandji, Jamf, Mosyle, or Intune) and Apple Business Manager, including zero-touch deployment at scale.
  • Experience administering Google Workspace or similar as a primary identity provider, including user lifecycle automation and access governance.
  • Working knowledge of SOC 2 Type II requirements and experience supporting or leading IT compliance audits (experience with Drata, Vanta, or similar GRC platforms preferred).
  • Track record of building IT automation for onboarding, offboarding, and SaaS provisioning.
  • Experience managing IT budgets, vendor contracts, and SaaS license governance.
  • Solid background in macOS and Windows environments.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with professional English proficiency for daily collaboration with US-based leadership.
  • Ability to work SpreeHours (Tuesday-Friday, 7-9am ICT) as needed for US collaboration.
  • This role is based out of our Bangkok office and follows a hybrid schedule, with a minimum of 2 days per week in office.

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting a distributed workforce across multiple countries.
  • Familiarity with endpoint security tooling (SentinelOne or similar EDR), network management (UniFi), and IT asset management systems.
  • Experience with IT service management platforms (Jira Service Management preferred) and support KPI design.
  • Certifications such as Google Professional Workspace Administrator, Apple Certified IT Professional, ITIL, or CISM.

Personal Attributes

  • High ownership and accountability.
  • Process-oriented and security-minded.
