Storm Clean-Up CDL-A Dump Truck Driver

We are seeking a reliable and experienced CDL-A Dump Truck Driver to assist with storm cleanup operations.

Work Location: West Jefferson, NC

Job Type: Full-Time

Work Hours: 7 days per week, weather permitting

Starting Pay: $20-25/hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a CDL-class dump truck to transport storm debris and other materials.
• Follow designated routes and comply with local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
• Assist with loading and unloading debris, ensuring safe and secure transportation.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks before and after shifts.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures for storm cleanup operations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and cleanup crews.
• Work extended hours, including weekends as required during storm events.
• Maintain accurate logs and records of operations, including mileage, fuel usage, and debris loads.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience operating a dump truck or similar heavy vehicle.
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and disaster-affected areas.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
• Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy debris when necessary.
• Experience with hydraulic dump beds is a plus.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
