Storm Clean-Up Heavy Equipment Operator - Skid Steer
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Heavy Equipment Operator (Skid Steer) to assist in storm cleanup operations.

Work Location: West Jefferson, NC

Job Type: Full-Time

Work Hours: 7 days per week, weather permitting

Starting Pay: $23/hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate skid steer equipment to remove debris, fallen trees, and other storm-related obstructions.
• Load and transport materials safely to designated locations.
• Assist with site preparation and restoration following storms or natural disasters.
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on the skid steer to ensure proper functionality.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to minimize risks and hazards.
• Work collaboratively with cleanup crews, emergency response teams, and other equipment operators.
• Respond promptly to assigned work areas and follow directions from supervisors.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and report any equipment issues.
• Adapt to varying work conditions, including extreme weather and hazardous environments.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience operating skid steer equipment in construction, landscaping, or disaster response.
• Valid heavy equipment operation certification or applicable state licenses (if required).
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and debris removal.
• Ability to work long hours, including weekends.
• Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials as needed.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL preferred but not required).
