ResourceWise is hiring for a Financial Controller that will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing the accounting operations of the global business, ensuring compliance with GAAP, maintaining strong internal controls, and delivering accurate financial reporting. This role will play a strategic part in supporting executive leadership through financial insights and ensuring operational efficiency.
What You'll Do
- Financial Reporting
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and corporate accounting policies.
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits.
- Accounting Operations
- Oversee general ledger functions and manage the close process.
- Lead accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets functions.
- Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
- Internal Controls & Compliance
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Implement and monitor accounting policies and procedures.
- Team Leadership
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
- Develop training programs and succession planning.
- Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Strategic Support
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions.
- Partner with Finance Manager on forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Assist with M&A integration and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles.
- Public accounting background and/or experience in a multinational corporation is a plus.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial controls.
