Restart, Inc. is a Minnesota-based nonprofit organization founded in 1986, dedicated to providing Housing with Services, and Independent Living Skills Services for individuals living with brain injuries and related disabilities. Our mission is to empower clients by teaching them strategies for daily living and facilitating their reentry into the community.
About the role
The Role
In this role, the Program Coordinator organizes and facilitates resident appointments, individual finance monitoring, activity planning and promoting an environment conducive to wellbeing and dignity for those we serve. Located in south Minneapolis, the successful candidate will enjoy a welcoming and engaging environment with training, support for success and advancement opportunities.
Responsibilities
- This person will provide appointment scheduling and support, as well as programmatic support and coordination for our residents.
- Drive company vehicle, when needed, transporting residents or shopping for the home.
- Participate in the onboarding of new employees, ensuring state and site-specific regulations are trained and work expectations are understood.
- Planning fun activities that engage residents, promote community and mindfulness.
- Partner with the Site Manager to ensure daily operations of the home consistently serve our residents and staff.
- Work confidently with various team members and advocate for the best outcomes for the people we serve.
- Participate in the management “on-call” schedule, approximately 2-weeks each month.
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to self-direct and prioritize tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to independently problem solve.
- A valid drivers license and be insurable under Restart policy.
- At least one year of experience in a role with similar scope and depth, preferably in the Human Services field.
- Previous experience working with social benefit programs including MA, SSI or other available disability programs.
- Ability to navigate and use technology and cloud-based applications related to the work.
Strongly Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years experience managing people and processes.
