About you

The ideal candidate is an experienced SAP data professional who takes ownership of delivery first and has the architectural depth to design the solution second. You have led data workstreams and migration cutovers on S/4HANA programmes, and you can design data architecture that holds up in practice.

Essential

• Hands on SAP data experience, including S/4HANA data migration and master data programmes

• Proven delivery experience: you have led data workstreams or cutovers and taken accountability for outcomes

• Experience of working with SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP BTP or SAP Business Data Cloud.

• Prior experience in at least one architecture role on S/4HANA programmes (e.g. Solution, Data or MDG Architect)

• Strong communicator who can explain complex data topics to non-technical teams and senior executives

• Comfortable working with US clients and time zones.

About the role

As our Data Consultant, you will be the hands-on lead for data delivery on our clients’ SAP S/4HANA landscapes, and you will shape how their data is structured, governed and leveraged. You will work at the intersection of business strategy and technical delivery, with delivery accountability first and architecture ownership alongside it. This is a senior, client-facing role for someone who can lead conversations with executives, programme teams and technical specialists alike.

Your responsibilities will include:

Delivery

• Lead end-to-end SAP S/4HANA data workstreams, from scoping and planning through build, testing, cutover and hypercare

• Own data migration delivery: mapping, cleansing and enrichment, mock loads, reconciliation and go-live readiness

• Deliver master data governance in practice, including data ownership, stewardship models, approval workflows and business rules (e.g. Business Partner, Material, Finance, Customer, Supplier, Product)

• Run data readiness assessments and quality monitoring, and define remediation plans with measurable KPIs

• Lead, direct and mentor data consultants, providing quality assurance and hands-on support where needed

• Translate business requirements into clear, actionable specifications, acting as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams

• Manage expectations and report progress and risk to programme sponsors and client stakeholders, including C-suite.

Architecture 

• Design logical and physical data models for S/4HANA that align to business processes and long-term data strategy

• Define data architecture across master data, transactional data, analytics and integration layers for SAP engagements

• Architect integrations between S/4HANA and third-party and cloud applications, using tools such as SAP BTP, SAP Business Data Cloud and SAP MDG

• Design and embed data governance frameworks, policies and standards that drive quality, consistency and compliance

• Apply relevant SAP data and analytics innovation to client engagements, including SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Business AI Platform

• Contribute to Resulting’s data architecture practice by developing accelerators, thought leadership and internal capability

• Desirable - SAP certifications in MDG, Central Finance or data management.
