Marketing Manager

About Reverb

Reverb is the largest online marketplace dedicated to buying and selling new, used, and vintage musical instruments. Since launching in 2013, Reverb has grown into a vibrant community of buyers and sellers all over the world. By focusing on inspiring content, price transparency, musician-focused e-commerce tools, a music-savvy customer service team, and more, Reverb has created an online destination where the global music community can connect over the perfect piece of music gear.

We love working at Reverb because we’re making the world more musical—through our marketplace and through Reverb Gives, which provides musical instruments to youth music education programs. We were named a “Best Place to Work” by Built in Chicago and a “Top Workplace'' by the Chicago Tribune.

About the role

Reverb is the world's largest marketplace for buying and selling music gear, and we're growing our UK team. We're looking for a hands-on UK Marketing Manager to own the day-to-day execution of our UK marketing channels — turning strategy into content, campaigns, and community that gets musicians buying and selling on Reverb.

This is a channel-owning role: you'll be the person who actually makes things happen across email, social, and partnerships. You'll work closely with the UK leadership team and have real creative latitude to build something that feels distinctly British and authentically musical. You’ll have real ownership over the channels that matter, with the creative latitude to build something that feels distinctly British and authentically musical.

This is a permanent, full-time remote role based in England, United Kingdom, reporting to the Senior Manager, Seller Engagement. Applicants must have the permanent right to work and reside in the UK. We are not able to offer visa sponsorship or relocation for this role.

Travel requirements:

This role requires occasional travel to our US headquarters, typically 2–3 times per year. Candidates must be able to travel internationally as required by the role.

What You'll Own

  • Email and on-platform communication channels — work closely with the US-based email team to shape a UK email strategy that reflects the distinct needs, behaviours, and preferences of British musicians. You'll identify where UK audiences diverge from US norms — in tone, timing, content, and offer — and ensure those differences are reflected in how we show up in UK inboxes
  • Instagram UK — run the @reverbuk channel end-to-end: content planning, creation, scheduling, and community management. You understand what makes gear culture content resonate and can build an engaged following, not just an audience
  • Influencer & creator partnerships — identify, reach out to, and manage relationships with UK-based musicians, gear reviewers, and content creators. You know the YouTube and Instagram gear community and can spot who genuinely moves an audience
  • Trade events & industry presence — represent Reverb at relevant UK music trade shows, gear fairs, industry events. You're comfortable talking to musicians, retailers, and press on the ground and can turn event presence into tangible channel outcomes

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of marketing experience, ideally in a consumer marketplace, e-commerce, or enthusiast brand
  • Proven track record managing social media channels (Instagram essential) and email marketing — you've owned these, not just contributed to them
  • Experience running influencer or creator partnerships, including outreach, negotiation, and performance tracking
  • Comfortable representing a brand in person — at events, in conversations with press, and within music communities
  • Data-literate and AI-savvy — comfortable in an email platform (Klaviyo, Braze, or similar), pulling Instagram analytics, and using AI tools to accelerate analysis, surface insights, and inform better decisions
  • Highly organised and self-directed; this is a role where you'll need to manage your own time and priorities without a lot of hand-holding
  • A genuine love of music and music gear — you don't need to be a professional musician, but you need to care about this world

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a two-sided marketplace or platform business
  • Photography, video, or basic design skills for content creation
  • An existing network in the UK music press, creator, or events world

Why Reverb UK

You'll be one of the early UK team members with real ownership over channels that matter. There's no bureaucratic approval chain for every Instagram post — we want someone who can move quickly, try things, and build something they're proud of.
