Role: Associate Software Quality Assurance Analyst 

Location: Remote. Must work in a location within the United States.

Travel: Not to exceed 10%

Classification: Exempt

Reports to: Director, Product Delivery

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience 





about the role

The Junior Software Quality Assurance Analyst role is responsible for supporting the quality assurance process of our software products through the execution of test plans, test cases, and basic test automation under the guidance of senior team members.

responsibilities


  • Assist in the development of test plans and test cases based on project requirements.
  • Create detailed, well structured test cases and test scripts based on project requirements.
  • Execute manual test cases and document results accurately.
  • Learn and apply test automation techniques to improve efficiency and test coverage:
    • Assist in creating and maintaining automated test scripts.
    • Execute automated test suites and analyze results.
    • Collaborate with senior team members to identify test cases suitable for automation.
    • Help implement and maintain automated test frameworks.
  • Identify, document and track defects through the entire testing lifecycle. 
  • Prepare and maintain test summary reports, providing regular updates on testing progress and defect status.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, developers, and product managers to understand product features and quality expectations.
  • Participate in code reviews to gain understanding of best practices.
  • Stay current with quality assurance trends, tools, and methodologies through self-study and team knowledge sharing sessions.
  • Comply with and hold with utmost regard all compliance requirements to protect patient privacy and confidentiality.

  • 1-3 years of experience in software testing or a related technical role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience) is preferred but not required.
  • Basic understanding of software development life cycle and testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with SQL and database concepts.
  • Experience with automated testing tools/frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Robot Framework) is preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Experience with AWS is preferred

Must be able to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to: moving or handling (lifting, pushing, pulling and reaching overhead) office equipment and supplies weighing 1 to 25 lbs. unassisted.  Frequently required to sit for extended periods during the workday.  Manual dexterity and visual acuity required.  Must be able to communicate effectively on the telephone and in person.
