Made up of 6 entities: RN Projects, Reivernet, IT Triage, Site Compass, RN Gateway and RGC Management we design, build, configure, support and document complex data networks for business, with a focus on hotel networks.

Our HQ is in Sydney, Australia, with employees based across EMEA, APAC and SEA.  We have a well-established presence in Philippines, with a growing team of approx. 35 people remote in country.

We are looking to expand our existing GNOC team by an additional 1 remote Engineers.



About the role

The Network Engineer- GNOC is primarily responsible for completing the technical support tickets as allocated. The role reports directly to the Service Delivery Manager GNOC. We offer support 24/7 across the globe which entails working across a rotating shift roster that includes nights and sometimes Public Holidays.


What you'll do

  • Hotels may have widely different networks. Via an Autotask ticketing system you will monitor a wide variety of information and network systems that include, but are not limited to LAN systems, routers, switches, firewalls, wireless equipment, core Linux servers, and core applications.
  • Apply approved network changes (e.g., VLAN adjustments, ACL updates, NAT rules).
  • Performance Monitoring: Analyze logs and monitoring to optimize performance and spot issues proactively.
  • Perform basic systems testing and operational tasks (installation of patches, network connectivity testing, script execution, etc.
  • Configuration Management: Ensure configurations align with standards; perform regular backups of network device configs.
  • Recognize, identify and prioritize incidents in accordance with business requirements,
  • organizational policies and SLA.
  • Work with internal and external technical and service teams to install Reivernet networking solutions.
  • Review site audits that have been prepared for GNOC handover
  • Vendor Coordination: Liaise with ISPs, hardware vendors and 3rd party onsite support vendors to resolve service or equipment issues.

 

About you

This role requires a passionate, self-motivated, flexible and service focused individual with a broad technical knowledge of active network equipment. You need strong verbal and written English communication skills and be adept at following documented technical process.

 As our operation supports business critical data networks 24-hours a day, your role will require shift work including nights and local Public Holidays when applicable.

 

Your qualifications and experience

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience supporting and monitoring network systems and servers in an enterprise environment.
  • Degree level qualification in Engineering, Computer Science or relevant field.
  • Previous experience in configuring and troubleshooting networks and hardware.
  • Previous experience in key network monitoring protocols including SNMP, IPMI, syslog, etc.
  • Previous experience in routing and switching technologies such as TCP/IP, STP, VLAN, VRRP, CDP, LLDP.
  • Experience with major hardware manufacturers (e.g., Meraki, Cisco traditional, HP/Aruba, Commscope/Ruckus, Quantum).
  • Experience in configuring and troubleshooting layered services (IPTV, Casting, Phone systems, Building Management Systems).
  • Core understanding of Linux fundamentals.

The salary range for this role is PHP80 to 95k base plus statutory benefits and additional Health Cover for you and one dependant.

The pay range for this role is:

80,000 - 95,000 PHP per month (Remote (Philippines))
