About the Role
We're hiring a Manager, Structuring to help build and scale Rhythm's Commercial & Industrial (C&I) business by leading the pricing and structuring of complex retail electricity products across ERCOT and Eastern U.S. power markets.
This role sits within our Commercialization Strategy team and serves as the commercial bridge between Supply & Trading, Sales, Risk, Finance, Data Engineering, and Data Science. You'll own how complex customer opportunities are priced, structured, and evaluated while ensuring our pricing models, cost curves, and market assumptions accurately reflect evolving wholesale market conditions.
This is a highly analytical role for someone who enjoys solving complex commercial problems at the intersection of energy markets, pricing strategy, and data. You'll operate with significant autonomy, partnering across the business to influence commercial decisions while helping build scalable pricing capabilities as Rhythm continues to grow.
What You'll Do
Commercial Structuring & Pricing
- Lead the pricing and structuring of customized Commercial & Industrial (C&I) electricity products across ERCOT and Eastern U.S. markets.
- Build pricing strategies that appropriately balance customer competitiveness, wholesale market risk, and gross margin objectives.
- Develop and maintain pricing models for customized C&I opportunities and broker matrix pricing.
- Partner closely with Sales and Commercial teams to support complex customer opportunities.
Market Analytics & Risk Management
- Maintain tariff-based cost curves and ensure pricing models accurately reflect current wholesale market conditions.
- Monitor energy, capacity, renewable energy credits (RECs), shape, transmission, and swing risk components.
- Incorporate market risk into pricing recommendations while supporting profitability targets across the commercial portfolio.
- Monitor wholesale regulatory developments and translate market changes into actionable commercial recommendations.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with Supply & Trading, Middle Office, Finance, Operations, and Technology to ensure pricing assumptions remain accurate and transparent.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering and Data Science to improve pricing models, reporting, and profitability analysis.
- Support development of commercial reporting, including gross margin analysis and mark-to-market performance.
- Work closely with forecasting partners to improve load forecasting, customer profiling, and normalization methodologies.
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of experience in electricity or natural gas markets with increasing responsibility in pricing, structuring, or commercial strategy.
- 3+ years of experience pricing Commercial & Industrial electricity contracts.
- Deep knowledge of ERCOT wholesale markets.
- Experience working for a retail electricity provider, load-serving entity, or energy retailer.
- Strong understanding of wholesale market fundamentals, retail pricing, tariff structures, and market risk.
- Experience building pricing models for customized energy products.
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with a passion for solving commercial problems using data.
- Strong project management and cross-functional communication skills.
- Comfortable operating in fast-moving environments with a builder mindset.
Nice to Have
- Experience with PJM, ISO-NE, or NYISO markets.
- Deep understanding of ISO tariffs and wholesale market design.
- Experience using SQL for data analysis.
- Familiarity with Databricks, Snowflake, or modern BI platforms.
- Experience applying AI tools to pricing analysis or workflow automation.
- Background in engineering, mathematics, economics, finance, or data science.
- Experience developing scalable pricing tools or commercial analytics platforms.

- Rhythm has scalable pricing and structuring capabilities that support continued C&I growth across multiple ISOs.
- Pricing recommendations appropriately balance competitiveness, profitability, and wholesale market risk.
- Cost curves, tariff assumptions, and market inputs remain accurate, transparent, and trusted across the organization.
- Commercial, Supply & Trading, Finance, and Sales teams rely on your insights to support critical pricing decisions.
- Reporting and pricing models become increasingly automated through collaboration with Data Engineering and Data Science.
- Rhythm expands its C&I business while maintaining disciplined pricing and margin management.
