We're currently seeking a Principal Full Stack Engineer who has a proven track record of building and scaling sophisticated, reliable, and user-friendly systems. The ideal candidate should possess at least 10 years of experience, combining technical expertise with a keen product-focused approach. At Rhythms, product development is a collaborative effort between our design and engineering teams. In this critical role, you'll ensure our product not only adheres to the highest technical standards but also perfectly aligns with our long-term goals and addresses our users' needs. Your contributions will be crucial in advancing our platform, prioritizing the creation of innovative solutions that enable teams to thrive.

Required Skills:

• Generalist (full-stack) backend developers with over a decade of experience. Have a strong preference towards candidates with some Ruby on Rails experience.

• Technically proficient individual contributors with a strong focus on simplicity, performance, and security. 

• Advanced knowledge of database technologies, specifically Postgres and Redis, with additional experience in Cassandra, Kafka, or other elements of the modern data stack considered beneficial. 

• Have experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and logging tools (e.g., New Relic, Datadog)

• Proficiency in designing and implementing scalable, distributed systems on cloud infrastructures like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, along with expertise in containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• A degree in Computer Science at the Bachelor's or Master's level or relevant experience showcasing strong fundamentals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Breaking down complex problem statements into actionable tasks to quickly iterate and innovate.

• Working with cross-functional teams to design and implement features. Providing constructive feedback to team members in design and code reviews to ensure best practices and code quality

• Delivering high-quality, efficient, reusable, and reliable code with automated tests for maintenance and confidence in our releases.

• Being comfortable switching between different parts of our stack - React.js (frontend), Ruby (APIs), Python (AI models), or Bicep (IaC) when required.

• Drive technical excellence and innovation, continuously seeking opportunities to optimize performance, scalability, and user experience.
