Your Role: Founding Head of Marketing

As Ribbon’s first Head of Marketing, you’re more than an employee – you’re the architect of the narrative ahead to bring our SaaS platform to life and connect through our partners’ and customers’ experiences. We have a tightly defined Ideal Customer Profile and an identifiable set of buyers and stakeholders in one of the fastest growing segments of nonprofit infrastructure. We need the tactical strategist to scale pipeline and cement value propositions.

Key Missions:

Build Trust with Tailored Content: Accounting and compliance are existential threats to 501c3s, and fiscal sponsorship is growing rapidly as technology drives down operating cost and risk. AI will take this to the next level. Bring our solution to life with primary research and compelling storytelling utilizing customers, experts, and advisors.

  • Collaborate closely with product and sales to deeply understand Ribbon’s capabilities
  • Conduct market research to gain insights into customer needs, industry trends, current solutions, and emerging competitive offerings within the B2B space

Establish Credibility: Forge deeper relationships and uncover new opportunities within our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), which is highly identifiable through IRS 990 public tax filings. Design audiences and engage through email and social media to establish brand voice and build community.

  • Use data-driven findings to inform product positioning, messaging, and pricing strategies
  • Craft persuasive and engaging marketing collateral tailored to B2B prospects, including product guides, sales materials, web content, and thought leadership content

Customer Acquisition: Fill the top of the funnel and coordinate with sales to support pull through with a compelling brand and customer adoption journey that drives conversion.

  • Ensure social media, marketing materials, pitch decks, one pagers, and our website serve as a robust marketing and sales tool that showcases our product offerings and is strategically aligned with our sales efforts
  • Continuously monitor and analyze the performance of product marketing campaigns, leveraging data insights to optimize strategies and achieve KPIs within the B2B segment

Your Arsenal:

  • Expertise in business and communication, especially at CXO-level engagement
  • Creativity and innovative marketing ideas to engage B2B target audiences
  • Experience with SaaS or technology ecosystem evolution storytelling
  • Proficiency in Value Prop breakthrough and Audience Identification
  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools and analytics platforms

Experience:

  • Minimum of 6 years in product marketing, with a strong emphasis on B2B marketing
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful product marketing strategies tailored to B2B or segmented consumer audiences
